Entry requirements for the Access to Higher Education Diploma course

We do not require you to have Maths and English GCSEs but universities do, at Grade 4/C or above. Study either or both alongside your diploma. Scroll down for more information on our fully online Functional Skills (includes the online exams) or GCSE options.

Age: There is no formal age requirement for entry on to the Access to Higher Education Diploma course; however, if you are under 19 may universities insist you complete A Levels instead. Please check with the university that they will accept the Access to HE Diploma if you are under 19 years of age.

Entry requirements for university entry

Most universities require GCSE English and Maths in addition to the Access to Higher Education Diploma (or A Levels).
